Walter Becker Net Worth $15 Million Dollars

Produced February 20, 1950 in Queens, NY, he’s broadly called the cofounder, guitarist, bassist and co-songwriter for the group Steely Dan. They became members of the group Jay and the Americans subsequently signed a songwriting contract with ABC Records in the early ’70s. At ABC, they formed the group Steely Dan, that was slowly whittled down to only both of these, but the pair was able to sell countless records during the ’70s. In spite of the group’s success, in 1977 Becker suffered from numerous private drawbacks, including addiction to narcotics. After Steely Dan returned to NYC in 1978, Becker’s girlfriend, Karen Roberta Stanley, died of a drug overdose in Becker’s flat in January of the exact same year, producing a wrongful death suit against him.

Not long after, Becker was hit by way of a Manhattan cab while crossing the road and needed to walk with crutches for a time period. His private fatigue was exacerbated by commercial pressures, leading the couple to freeze their partnership in June 1981. Following the schism, Becker turning into a part time making profession, working with such artists as China Crisis and Rickie Lee Jones, and later moving to Hawaii. Becker made Fagen’s Kamakiriad record in 1993 as well as the duo toured as Steely Dan again in 1993 and 1994. Becker eventually started a solo career together with the launch of his debut record 11 Tracks of Whack in 1994 and it was not until 14 years after that a second solo album, Circus Money, surfaced in 2008.
