1Has appeared as an actor in four films - all directed by John Landis - where his character is labeled "Charming". In The Kentucky Fried Movie, he plays the Charming Guy, in Animal House, his character is the Charming guy with guitar, in The Blues Brothers, he plays a Charming Trooper, and in Twilight Zone: The Movie, his character in Segment #1 is Charming G.I.
2His high school band the Weeds won second place at the Claremont Battle of the Bands.
3Phil Collins cited Bishop as one of his favorite songwriters. His song "Tell Me It's Over" was recorded by Anni-Frid Lyngstad on her solo album "Something's Going On" (released in 1982), which was produced by Collins. His song "Separate Lives", based on his breakup with actress Karen Allen, was famously recorded by Collins as a duet with Marilyn Martin in 1985 and topped the US Billboard Hot 100.
